LDK AL – HAKIM STMA Trisakti Conducts Rihlah to Increase Awareness Between Students

A number of STMA Trisakti students from the student organization (ormawa) LDK Al – HAKIM STMA Trisakti held a rihlah on Sunday, February 5 2023. This activity (Rihlah) is a routine activity carried out by LDK Al – HAKIM STMA Trisakti every year.

Rihlah is an Arabic term that refers to travel or safar. In the Islamic religious context, rihlah is often used to refer to the journey undertaken by a Muslim to perform the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca.

Apart from the context of the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, rihlah can also refer to travel undertaken for other purposes, such as tourism, education or business. In this context, rihlah is often associated with a challenging and adventurous journey, which can provide valuable experience and learning for the perpetrator.

In Islamic history, rihlah also has a broader meaning, namely a journey to seek knowledge or preach. In the past, Islamic scholars and figures often performed rihlah to learn from prominent teachers in various places, or to spread the Islamic religion and the values contained in it to places that had not yet been reached.

The rihlah LDK Al – HAKIM STMA Trisakti activity this time has the general aim of exploring new places, getting to know different cultures and history, deepening religion and spirituality, and strengthening ties of brotherhood and social relations. Apart from that, rihlah can also be used as a medium to gain new experiences, develop skills, and expand insight and knowledge. Apart from having a general aim, the rihlah LDK Al – HAKIM STMA Trisakti activity also has a specific aim, namely: 1. Inviting students to be more active in broadening their Islamic knowledge. 2. Family togetherness between the Student Activity Unit Management of the Al-Hakim Campus Da'wah Institute (LDK). 3. Is a process of developing students in forming good Muslim individuals, with noble character and being a blessing to fellow humans. 4. Establishing friendship between students and alumni.

Chair of the Rihlah Committee, Krisnanda Ramadan, said that this activity was carried out to provide different experiences and learning to students, as well as to strengthen ties between students from various study programs and classes.

"We want to invite students to experience exploring new places, broaden their knowledge of Islam, and strengthen ties of brotherhood between students from various study programs and classes," he said.

This ritual was attended by 22 students from LDK Al – HAKIM STMA Trisakti, from various study programs and classes. For 1 day, they visited several famous places in DKI Jakarta such as the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia and the Istiqlal Mosque.

It is hoped that this Rihlah will be an inspiration for other students to learn more about the beauty and diversity of Indonesia, as well as strengthen the ties of brotherhood between students from various study programs and classes at STMA Trisakti. (JDR-WM)
